Graduated cum laude in International law from Bologna University, in 1997 he started working in the private sector as a junior sustainability manager.
In 2000 he entered the National Foreign Service.
As a career diplomat, he has served in Rome, Buenos Aires and New York, expanding commercial diplomacy over different markets, supporting internationalization processes of Small & Medium-sized enterprises and implementing multi-stakeholder negotiations.
After a professional experience at the Communication and External Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2012 he started working for Enel spa, the largest world utility in terms of green electricity generation and customer network.
Directly reporting to the Group CEO, he has been coordinating International Institutional Affairs, providing public affairs support to the different Business Units, developing a variety of cross-sector multi-stakeholder partnerships with private and public entities on energy transition, climate change and geopolitics of energy, innovation & data diplomacy, sustainability and State-to-city diplomacy.
From Sept. 1st 2021, he is in Astana as Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan with secondary accreditation to Kyrgyzstan.
In 2013 he was awarded the Cavalier Order of Merit of the Italian Republic; married, father of three children.
